Brandywine Conservancy

GIS Specialist

The Brandywine Conservancy seeks an experienced GIS professional with a Bachelor's degree in geography, environmental science, geology, ecology, planning or related disciplines and two-plus years of experience. The GIS Specialist will provide mapping services on Conservancy projects as wee as for the parent organization, the Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art. Primary responsibilities include producing maps for planning and easement projects. The position will prepare and analyze data for open space and agricultural prioritizations, riparian buffers and municipal planning projects. In addition, the GIS Specialist will prepare maps for our preserves and for use in annual monitoring and new easement projects. Analyses for baseline documentation reports are also generated. Preserve Manager

The Conservancy is seeking a Preserve Manager to lead the stewardship of a 770-acre private nature preserve in Chester County, PA. Primary responsibilities will include the implementation of the property management plan, routine maintenance of the preserve, and general visitor service tasks. The Preserve Manager will serve as the Conservancy’s ambassador to the local community and will play an integral role in promoting the Conservancy’s mission through exemplary stewardship, engagement with preserve visitors, and outreach activities. Fall Internship - Land Stewardship

The Land Stewardship Intern will assist the easement management team with monitoring, administering, and enforcing the 458 conservation easements held by the Brandywine Conservancy, as well as related projects. For details, please click here.
